Purpose: The main goal of the Cancer Disparities Advisory Board is to reduce cancer disparities among racially and ethnically diverse and medically underserved populations in South Carolina. Cancer disparities are a result of a number of different factors, including genetics, health services use and access to care, the environment, and lifestyle/health behavior. Successfully addressing cancer disparities will require a multi-method approach incorporating laboratory research, clinical research, behavioral research, and community based research. | | | | Leadership | | Lisa Robinson, EdD, Chair, Cancer Disparities Advisory Board | Leonard Davis, DDS Vice Chair, Cancer Disparities Advisory Board | | | | Members | | | Deborah R.
