Purpose:
The Citizens Advisory Council is comprised of diverse community members from across the State of South Carolina. The Council assists Hollings Cancer Center with awareness events and activities throughout the state. The Council Members also provide advice to the Hollings Cancer Center in the areas of strategic planning, patient care, health policy, governmental and public relations, fundraising and development, and outreach, especially as these relate to regional issues. The mission of the Council is to advocate on behalf of Hollings Cancer Center in the areas of cancer prevention, care and research; to raise financial support and to offer counsel in development and long range planning, patient care, scientific policy, informatics and technology. | | | Leadership | | Linda Plunkett, PhD
