The Hollings Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated center in South Carolina, is committed to serving the entire state. Our patients come from all corners and counties, and we have significant partnerships with care providers, research entities, and advocacy organizations who share our mission of reducing the cancer burden on our state.
South Carolina's cancer incidence and mortality rankings are among some of the grimmest in the country. Hollings Cancer Center understands that some cancers affect our population disproportionately and is addressing cancer disparities on several fronts through community-specific initiatives.
The MUSC Minority Underserved National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program is another example of our statewide commitment to ensure that every patient has access to the latest treatment options.
