Hollings Cancer Center hosts a variety of special events throughout the year to raise funds for our cancer research, treatment and prevention programs. We also actively partner with groups in the community to help raise cancer awareness through hosting events.

Just Ducky - Rubber Duck Race

When: May 10, 2015

Where: Red's Ice House, Shem Creek, SC

Buy your mom a duck! $100 per duck, 100% of monies raised will benefit Women's Cancer Research at the Hollings Cancer Center.  Winner receives a $250 Red’s gift card and a $300 Tavern & Table gift card.  The winner of the best decorated ("duckerated") duck will receive their $100 entry fee back!  Sponsored by Scout Boats, Red’s Ice House and Tavern & Table.

Swing For A Cure - Branch-Crawford Memorial Kick-off Party & Tournament*

Golf Tournament (July 11th)

The event hosted in memory of Travis Branch and Eric Crawford starts off with a kick-off party Friday evening before the golf tournament on Saturday. Proceeds will benefit the comprehensive sarcoma program at Hollings Cancer Center for research and clinical trials.

9th Annual Tommy Cuthbert Charity Classic*

When: July 24, 2015

Where: Kiawah Island, Cougar Point

SOL Southwest Kitchen’s Kitchen Karma

When: September 15 - October 31, 2014

Where: SOL Southwest Kitchens Mt. Pleasant, SC

$1 for each Prickly Pear Margarita and Chicken Nachos sold during this 6 week period between September 15th and October 31st a donation will be made to Hollings Cancer Center Breast Fund.

We Lift to Support the Fight

7th Annual Pajama Run*

Come dressed in your favorite fuzzy slippers for the 7th Annual Pajama Run! This 5K was created to help raise awareness and resources for research on cancers occurring below the waist including ovarian, testicular, prostate, bladder, and colon cancer. At Charleston’s only Pajama Party after the run, prizes are given out for best costume, best fundraiser and fastest runners.

32st Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival*

When: January 25, 2015

Where: Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston, SC

One of the largest oyster festivals in the country, the Lowcountry Oyster Festival brings in over 65,000 pounds of oysters to Boone Hall Plantation. Hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, the festival has raised over $1 million for local charities, including Hollings Cancer Center.

Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic          Film Screening

8th Annual Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope*

Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope is a fund raising cycling ride featuring a 30 mile ride, and a scenic Lowcountry tour of 100k+ flat and nice country roads. The Ride for Hope benefits the Livestrong foundation and area Charleston charities involved in the fight against cancer, including Hollings Cancer Center.

35th Annual Taste of Charleston*

Where: Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston, SC

Over 50 of Charleston’s favorite restaurants will showcase their favorite dishes on the lawn at Boone Hall Plantation. Hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, The Taste has raised over $1 million for local charities, including Hollings Cancer Center.

The Point Is - 8th Annual Camp for a Cause*
