Knology’s 5th Annual Pajama Run December 8, 2012 Joe Riley Stadium, Downtown Charleston
Come dressed in your favorite fuzzy slippers for Knology’s 4th Annual Pajama Run! This 5K was created to help raise awareness and resources for research on cancers occurring below the waist including ovarian, testicular, prostate, bladder, and colon cancer. At Charleston’s only Pajama Party after the run, prizes are given out for best costume, best fundraiser and fastest runners. 30th Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival January 27, 2013 Boone Hall Plantation
One of the largest oyster festivals in the country, the Lowcountry Oyster Festival brings in ovoer 65,000 pounds of oysters to Boone Hall Plantation. Hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, the festival has raised over $1 million for local charities, including Hollings Cancer Center.
