Private gifts enhance almost every aspect of patient care, research, and our pursuit of National Cancer Institute designation by helping us: - Recruit the most talented and compassionate physicians, scientists and caregivers
- Build the most advanced facilities
- Discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer
- Provide our patients with the most advanced treatment options in the world
- Reach out to patients in need throughout the entire state
- Provide our patients with the most comprehensive range of services available
- Support research that may one day cure cancer
In short, private support enables us to acquire the caregivers, facilities, amenities and services you would expect to find in a world-class cancer center. Here are three simple ways to make a gift: - An outright gift is a gift (of cash, property or stock) made immediately.
A pledge is a gift (of cash, property or stock) that may be paid over a period of time. - A planned gift is a gift made through your estate plans or will. With a planned gift, you commit to make the gift today, but the gift does not actually come to us until after the end of your life.
Contact the HCC Office of Development to make a gift. Go to top ________________________________________ 3. Is there a standard amount most people give? The amount of your contribution is a personal decision. Your comfort level is important, and gifts at any level are important and gratefully accepted. Friends who make gifts of $1,000 are recognized in our annual Honor Roll of Donors and also gain membership in the Society of 1824, the Medical University of South Carolina's charitable giving society. Gifts of $25,000 and above provide unique opportunities for naming a room, a program, or another mission appropriate to the contribution level. Go to top ________________________________________ 4.
