HCC's adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Program provides curative therapy for a broad range of illnesses, including:
Outpatient focus - For our patients' health and convenience, we limit their stay in the hospital, shifting them to an outpatient setting as soon as possible. Our infusion center and home infusion services make outpatient treatment a reality for many patients. In fact, we performed the world's first unrelated donor transplant in an outpatient setting in 1997. State-of-the-art facilities - In addition to innovative outpatient facilities, our inpatient unit is technologically advanced. The rooms were specially designed for immuno-suppressed patients and use the same sophisticated air filtration system found in our operating rooms. Housing assistance - Our staff assists each patient with local housing through a variety of options. Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program - We have South Carolina's only transplant program for children. |
