Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program

Hollings Cancer Center’s Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant program is the only one in South Carolina.  In 1990, we performed the first pediatric bone marrow transplant and we are certified by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).  Our excellent standard of care and innovative therapeutic options offer hope to children throughout the state and the Southeast.

Clinical Trials
Patients have access to clinical trials for promising new therapies. The goal of these research efforts is to bring effective new treatments to patients as quickly as possible. Some are designed to improve transplant techniques, while others focus on how to adapt blood and marrow transplantation for a broader population of patients.
