Recognizing that most treatment standards of today were developed as a result of previous clinical trials, it is evident that clinical trials play a critical role in the advancement of new treatments. Supporting the more than 150 researchers at Hollings Cancer Center in their quest to advance cancer care and prevention is the staff of the Hollings Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CTO). Providing oversight of approximately 250 clinical trials and over 1,000 trial participants, the CTO promotes excellence in cancer research for human subjects and provides support to all investigators in the Cancer Center for clinical research activities. |

Committed to conducting trials safely and efficiently, the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) staff are organized by disease site and are part of the Hollings Cancer Center interdisciplinary clinical teams. Additionally, the CTO serves as a liaison to the Protocol Review and Monitoring System, Institutional Review Board, and various other Committees and Centers working to support research activities.
