- User-Based (Unassisted) Flow Cytometric Analysis: Equipment is available 24/7 for trained investigators. During regular working hours, operators are available to assist with setup, running samples, and trouble-shooting.
- Assisted Flow Cytometric Analysis: An operator is available for the FACSCalibur, LSRFortessa and FACSVerse during regular working hours to provide general assistance as well as standard assays including cell death, proliferation, cell cycle, Ca++ flux, etc.
- Cell Sorting: The MoFlo cell sorter is the instrument of choice for HCC members interested in sorting rare events or side-population cells as a means of isolating tissue stem cells and cancer stem-like cells. With the addition of an Aerosol Management System, the FACSAria IIu cell sorter is used for sorting populations with biohazard considerations. Due to complexity, all cell sorters are operated only by Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Unit staff.
