Description:

The Tissue Biorepository Shared Resource facility banks excess tissue and bodily fluids collected at the time of biopsy or resection. Patient linked data can be retrieved for all banked specimens while maintaining patients’ rights and confidentiality. Specimens are only banked with appropriate informed consent.

• Retrieval, processing, and banking of tissue (tumor and corresponding normal as
   available) and bodily fluids including those for protocol driven studies.

• Retrieval of banked specimens for research use.

• Referral to pathologist and researcher consultants for protocol development
    and tissue evaluation.

• Technical support and expertise for routine histological paraffin and frozen
   section analyses of research specimens.

• Personalized patient data retrieval and spreadsheet compilation.
