MUSC Hollings Cancer Center

Program Eligibility

Scholars must have an MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD, have completed residency/fellowship training or postdoctoral training, and be committed to a career in translational patient-oriented oncology research (click here for definition). Candidates for support as Hollings Cancer Center Calabresi Scholars must also:

♦   Be a U.S. citizen or non-citizen national, or must
     have been lawfully admitted for permanent
     residence and possess an Alien Registration
     Receipt Card (I-151 or I-155) or some other 
     verification of legal admission as a permanent 
     resident;

♦   Be able to commit at least 75 percent of full-time
     professional effort (or 50 percent for surgical 
     candidates) in this Program and its related
     clinical research activities for two years;

♦   Not be or have been a Principal Investigator on
     an R01 or on a subproject of a 
     Program Project (P01), Center (P50, P60, U54),
     mentored career development (K-series) grant, or
     other equivalent research grant awards.
